Hollow Hills Elementary School
One of two fundamental elementary schools in Simi Valley, Hollow Hills Elementary School is recognized for strong academics, and our nurturing and challenging atmosphere. Our STEAM focused curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) embodies a creative and well-rounded approach to 21st century education. We promote student achievement through differentiated instruction, collaboration, and project-based learning. At Hollow Hills Elementary School, our students are empowered to be thoughtful and contributing members of our community through our extensive character education program. We are a California Distinguished School.
Kindergarten Sibling Registration
Registration for siblings of current Hollow Hills students who plan to attend Kindergarten at Hollow Hills for the 2024-2025 school year will take place from November 27 - December 20, 2023. Your enrolling child, must turn 5 years old on or before September 1, 2024. Enrollment applications can be picked up in the Hollow Hills office beginning on November 27th at 8:30 AM and all paperwork is due back to our office by 3:00 PM on December 20th in order for your child to get priority sibling enrollment. Any registration that is not received by December 20th will have to enter the Kindergarten lottery in January, and is not guaranteed a spot.
Kindergarten Lottery Information
Kindergarten Lottery applications will be available beginning at 8:30 AM on January 8 through January 19, 2024. Applications must be picked up in person and cannot be emailed. Applications are due back to the Hollow Hills office by 3:00 PM on Friday, January 19th. Lottery applications cannot be submitted to both Hollow Hills and Vista. You must choose just one fundamental school to apply to. Children applying for the lottery must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2024 and must be a Simi Valley resident.
Tour/Information sessions will be held in the Hollow Hills MPR on the following dates:
- Tuesday, December 5th at 9:00 AM
- Monday, December 11th at 9:00 AM
- Monday, January 8th at 9:00 AM
- Tuesday, January 16th at 9:00 AM
- Wednesday, January 17th at 5:00 PM
- Tuesday, January 23rd at 9:00 AM
- Tuesday, January 30th at 9:00 AM
- Tuesday, February 6th at 9:00 AM
* Please note that reservations are not required for tours.
