Hollow Hills Elementary School
One of two fundamental elementary schools in Simi Valley, Hollow Hills Elementary School is recognized for strong academics, and our nurturing and challenging atmosphere. Our STEAM focused curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) embodies a creative and well-rounded approach to 21st century education. We promote student achievement through differentiated instruction, collaboration, and project-based learning. At Hollow Hills Elementary School, our students are empowered to be thoughtful and contributing members of our community through our extensive character education program. We are a California Distinguished School.
For current Hollow Hills families! Kindergarten enrollment for siblings of current or past Hollow Hills students will be from December 1st through December 19th. If your older child attends or attended Hollow Hills and is still enrolled in SVUSD, then your incoming Kindergartener qualifies as a sibling. Please be sure to pick up an application by 3:00PM on December 19th. Otherwise, they will need to enter the Kindergarten lottery in January and enrollment will not be guaranteed.
Kindergarten lottery applications are available for pickup in the Hollow Hills office beginning at 8:30 AM on January 6th through January 16, 2026. All applications are due back by 3:00pm on Friday, January 16th. Students must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026 to start Kindergarten. Lottery applications cannot be submitted to both Hollow Hills and Vista. We highly encourage everyone to attend one of our Tour and Information Sessions listed above. Waitlist applications for 1st - 5th grade students are accepted anytime during the school year. Applications must be completed in person. We will begin filling any spots that we know of for the upcoming school year in March, and will continue filling spots up until about a week before the next school year begins. Students remain on our waitlist each year until they move on to middle school or we are told to remove them, so if they don't get in right away, there is a chance for the following year. Please stop by our office at 828 Gibson Ave. between the hours of 8:30am - 4:00pm if you are interested in filling out an application. You must be a Simi Valley resident to apply.
